Derek Zoolander and his fellow model rival Hansel McDonald, portrayed by comedian Ben Stiller and actor Owen Wilson, made a surprise ramp appearance in Valentino's show in Paris Fashion Week last March 10, according to the Sydney Morning Herald.

At the end of Valentino's showcase of autumn wear collection, Stiller and Wilson's catwalk appearances set off a series of applause and laughter.

In the 2001 movie Zoolander, their characters depict a comical parody of what supermodels are like in the fashion world.

Stiller brought back the trademark 'Blue Steel' surprised duck faced look in the runway for the joy of photographers and audience looking on at the venue of the gardens fronting Louvre Museum.

Stiller was dressed in a dark marine suit with a tie overlaid with a dark wide-collared overcoat embroidered with butterflies and matching black shoes.

Wilson dressed in light blue pajamas with a sky blue coat draped over his shoulders, with sneakers to match the ensemble.

Both stepped out the runway in a confident male model aura, posing in front of cameras and then proceeded to drop their coats in a perfect parody of how supermodels behave.

Stiller, paused for quite a while, grabbed a spectator's smartphone, taking a selfie on stage.

This unexpected stunt is a early promotion of the sequel of Zoolander.

Rumors of a sequel have been in the talks for quite some time, with Deadline News confirming that Penelope Cruz will join the cast, according to Rolling Stone.

Stiller confirmed the sequel via his Instagram account, which he posted a photo of himself and Wilson.

"Apparently Derek and Hansel have come to terms on #Zoolander 2," says Stiller through the photo's matching caption.

"In the fashion world, if you go away for a year, it's changed- it just happens so quickly. I think the idea in the beginning of the movie is that it's 10 years later, and Derek and Hansel are literally forgotten. Nobody remembers who they are, so they have to reinvent themselves," says Stiller, in a previous interview with MTV last 2010.

Will Ferrell is also set to reprise his villainous role as the designer Mugatu.

Zoolander 2 is slated for a release date on February 12, 2016.
