(Photo : Microsoft) Microsoft has announced its fitness wearable is coming to the UK.
The Microsoft Band is coming to the UK on April 15, one week before the Apple Watch launches in the region alongside 14 other countries.
It follows a small beta test in the United States where customers were able to pick up the fitness tracker for $199. Band will be available in the UK for £169.99, about £35 more expensive than the current exchange rate price.

For UK readers interested in buying the Microsoft Band, it works with all three mobile platforms: iOS, Android and Windows Phone. It's one of the only devices to support Windows Phone, unsurprising considering the platform's low adoption rate.
Users will be able to view notifications from the companion smartphone, including text messages, phone calls, emails and general app notifications. Microsoft offers a way to tailor the notifications to certain applications or turn them off altogether.
Microsoft has added Cortana's voice recognition platform onto the Microsoft Band, allowing users to control the wearable through voice and to respond to notifications.
The wearable has a long battery life due to its constraints on the display and most users in the U.S. seem to be happy with the fitness tracker. It should be available on Amazon.co.uk, Curry's, PC World and other stores come April 15.
