While Republican Mitt Romney is throwing his hat into the boxing ring by sparring with former heavyweight champ Evander Holyfield on May 22, real estate billionaire Donald Trump, in turn, plans to throw his hat into the political arena.

Trump said on Wednesday there is an 80 percent chance that he would seek the Republican nomination in the primaries. To show his seriousness in his political plan, Trump has formed an exploratory committee and employed workers in Iowa, South Carolina and New Hampshire, reports CSMonitor.

Those three states are among the first to hold primaries for both Republican and Democratic Parties.

Americans are divided on how serious Trump is in his bid. TV host Bill O'Reilly told Trump in his show bluntly that he thinks Trump won't run, but admits "I like the fact that you're there. I like the fact that you're not afraid to say what's on your mind. I think we need that in a presidential race."

However, some do not take him seriously, especially if he exhibits having "messianic complex" with his declaration that "I am the only one who can make America truly great again!" quotes CSM.

Although it is a far-fetched scenario or "voter's nightmare," O'Reilly said if the Republican choice is among Trump, Sarah Palin and Chris Christie, the primaries would appear more like a reality show than a presidential campaign.

Assuming Trump is really serious, he is the fifth who wants to gain the GOP's nod. The four others are Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, ex-Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, Florida Senator Marco Rubio and South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham.

He believes his advantage over other politicians interested in the White House is his job creation record.

"I have been dealing with politicians all my life. They're all talk and no action, and that's the way it is," Trump told Reuters in a phone interview.
