It's been a rough year for the 'Blurred Lines' singer Robin Thicke.
The singer, who was recently under fire when his 'Blurred Lines' song was officially declared by court as a copy of Marvin Gaye's song, is now officially divorced as his ex-wife's petition was granted by a court in Los Angeles, effective by April 14, according to TriCities.

The ex-couple have been dating since high school until both of them ventured into their respective careers as entertainers.
Thicke used to call Patton 'the love of his life' and she served as the inspiration behind the 37 year old singer's previous songs. She made several appearances in his music videos.
"We're madly, crazily in love," said Thicke, in a previous interview with USA Today last 2013.
Last year, Patton and Thicke announced their separation, after almost nine years of marriage. They have a four year old son together named Julian.
Rumors have speculated that Thicke's high affinity to women was the cause, though Patton has never confirmed this.
The Canadian-born singer was not quick to give up and he promoted his recent album, 'Paula' named after his estranged wife.
Several public appearances and reconciliation pleas left Patton unfazed.
To make it worse, Thicke's album did lackluster sales from the commencement of its release.
As for Patton, she was in 'high spirits' in a previous interview with Good Morning America last March 6, according to Us Weekly.
"I'm doing really well. I mean, the honest truth is it has been challenging. But it's been a year of growth. Lot of healing and learning new things," said Patton, as she told co-host Robin Roberts about coping with the separation.
"I've come out of it stronger. My son's happy. I feel like everything happens for a reason. And then you have to move on and grow from there. The thing is, you can't wallow in sadness or stay in bed when you have a child. And they're so full of life and wonder. And he brings me so much joy," she further added.
