Augmented reality startup Magic Leap has released another wacky video of its AR platform, this time showing how an employee can change his office set-up into a battlefield of robots and tanks vs. sentry guns.
This wild new world of gameplay was ppreviously shown off in patents Magic Leap filed in 2014, Tjhe patents revealed some of the functionality coming to the augmented reality device.

Unlike Google Glass, Magic Leap is focused on bringing all the typical social features like notifications, maps and lists, alongside some of the weird augmented games.
These games load up in normal office or home environments and can have tanks blast through the wall or robots zapped from the ceiling. It's not yet clear how Magic Leap will realize a wall or door and integrate it into the AR game.
It might amount to the Magic Leap device having cameras fitted on all angles to offer 360 degree view of the building. This information will be fed to the game, allowing it to understand a user's movements and surroundings.
Still, if the Magic Leap games break the fourth wall too quickly, it won't work. The augmented reality simulation needs to feel almost like virtual reality but without blocking all vision of the building.
Magic Leap hasn't given any time frames for launch but should have something available for people to test this year. The commercial sale is most likely coming in 2016 or 2017. No price has been mentioned.
