Real estate mogul Robert Durst has just been associated with the disappearance of a student from Middlebury College in 1971.
Tom Hanley, Middlebury Police Chief, said in a statement that his department has actually been looking into the disappearance of Lynne Schulze since 1992, but did not say anything about why the case was re-opened in the first place.

“We are aware of the connection between Robert Durst and the disappearance of Lynne Schulze,” Hanley said. “We have been aware of this connection for several years and have been working with various outside agencies as we follow this lead.”
Schulze was an 18-year-old first year student at Middlebury College. As detailed in Fox News, she was last seen across from a bus station and a health shop that Durst had owned on the afternoon of Dec. 10, 1971.
Durst was managing the store with his then-wife, Kathleen, who also disappeared 11 years later.
According to the authorities, Schulze was spotted eating some dried prunes that she had purchased from Durst’s store. She was right outside the accused murderer’s shop.
Now that it has been publicized that Durst may have something to do with Schulze’s disappearance, a lot of potential sources have surfaced.
According to Gawker, a woman from Dallas had claimed that she once dated Durst back in 2000 and she described what his room was like.
“There was a little bedroom with a concrete floor,” Linda Walker Zevallos told the “Today” show, which, in turn, tracked the real estate blogger who got to interview the building’s manager regarding the strange room.
“Durst wanted that because he told them he used a lot of chemicals,” the blogger revealed. “I have no idea what the chemicals are for, but it is very creepy.”
Zevallos had also claimed that Durst told her about Susan Berman, who died execution-style inside her home in Los Angeles, and Durst was allegedly behind the killing. According to Zevallos, Durst opened up that Berman was suffering from “troubles” and that he had to take some time to visit her.
Shortly after that bizarre conversation, Zevallos broke up with Durst due to his multiple “eccentricities,” and Berman was killed several months after.
