A CNN reporter has been sent off Israel after calling Israelis "scum" on Twitter.
Diana Magnay, who was assigned to cover the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, was transferred to Moscow, according to a CNN spokeswoman.
"I think you can probably see there are lots of Israelis gathered around who are cheering when they see these kinds of Israeli strikes," Magnay said earlier on her on-air report on Thursday night, pointing out the rocket trails leaving Israeli positions to Hamas. She insisted that the scene was "macabre." Minutes later, she tweeted: "Israeli's on hill above Serdot cheer as bombs land on Gaza; threaten to 'destroy our car if I say a word wrong'.Scum"

The tweet was deleted later but it was retweeted a hundred times, and people were already castigating Magnay for her comment.
In a statement, CNN said Magnay only reacted angrily on Twitter after being threatened and harassed during her live shot.
"She deeply regrets the language used," the spokeswoman continued. "She meant no offense to anyone beyond the group, and she and the CNN apologize for any offense that may have been taken."
Magnay's removal comes after NBC news pulled out their reporter, Ayman Mohyeldin, from Gaza. The network did not explain its action as other reporters and journalists from inside and outside the network expressed their anger and frustration for it.
Israel and Palestine have been fighting cross border war for 10 days as they fail to achieve a truce. The conflict in Gaza was escalated after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered its military to mount a ground offensive which includes infantry, artillery and armored corps. along with aerial and naval supports, to halt rockets being fired at Israel.
Hamas then vowed that Israel will "pay a high price" for their ground operation that resulted in 240 Palestinian deaths.
