The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame announced on Friday that a fashion exhibit celebrating Beyoncé Knowles-Carter will be debuting where only Hall of Famers were previously featured. The pop star will only be eligible to be part of the prestigious group of musicians in 2022 for her role in Destiny's Child and in 2027 for her fame as a solo artist.

The said exhibit will be held in the Ahmet Ertegun Main Exhibit Hall in its Legends of Rock Section and, will highlight outfits such as her 2013 Met gala gown, and pieces she wore during her Super Bowl performances and notable music videos, including the recognizable black leotard from her "Single Ladies" video.

Her iconic outfits will be next to pieces owned by the likes of Michael Jackson, David Bowie and Bruce Springsteen.

Rock Hall curator Meredith Rutledge-Borger said that convincing Beyoncé took quite a bit of time, but when they did manage to convince her, the amount of personal things the artist was willing to have on display was simply overwhelming.

This led the museum staff to decide that the exhibit be held in the Legends of Rock Section to accommodate the number of pieces they wanted to display. She added that the main exhibit hall "really is the spot that we have to pay tribute to legends of rock, which Beyoncé has proven herself to be."

The singer is said to be honored to be able to exhibit her items in the museum.

Lee Anne Callahan-Longo, the general manager of Beyoncé's production house, Parkwood Entertainment, shared that for the pop singer, the exhibit is a very big deal. She shared, "It's very meaningful to an artist when you feel like you've accomplished certain levels and to be asked to be part of this before she's eligible, I think that's really special."
