Mother Killed 2 Frozen Kids In Detroit, Says Teen Daughter

Besides the child abuse charges filed against 35-year-old Michelle Blair, the Detroit woman could be charged with murder after the bodies of her two children that were frozen are thawed and autopsied.
Ahead of the charges, her 17-year-old daughter said that her two younger dead siblings, 9-year-old Stephen Berry and 13-year-old Stoni Blair, were killed by their mother. She disclosed a life of torture under their mother.

She and her 8-year-old brother are whipped with an extension cord and piece of wood, hit with a hot curling iron or burned with a clothing iron. With this information, the Michigan Department of Human Services is seeking custody over the two children, reports AP.
She said Stephen died because of two weeks of torture under the hands of Blair who tied a belt around his neck, doused him with hot water while in the shower and placed a plastic bag on his head. On August 30, 2012, Stephen had become unresponsive, so Blair wrapped his body in bed linen and froze him.
Nine months after Stephen's death, Blair got angry at Stoni for saying she didn't like her two surviving siblings, so their mother choked her to death with a shirt and finished her off by covering her head with a plastic bag.
And like Stephen, she froze Stoni. Medical exams on the two surviving children of Blair appear to confirm abuse based on numerous scars on their bodies. The two have stopped going to school the past two years.
Magistrate Renee McDuffee, who is handling the case, filed a not guilty plea on Blair's behalf when she appeared in court through a video feed from jail for the child abuse charges. McDuffee said the heinous charges justify the $1 million bail.
The bodies of the two frozen kids were discovered by accident by a bailiff who went to their unit to serve an eviction notice.
Blair, who was referred to counselling, was investigated for abuse in 2002 and 2005. The fathers of the two surviving children are considered unfit to care for them and had owed Blair $50,000 in child support. They also have not seen the two children in two to three years.
