(Photo : Adobe) Adobe has launched Comp CC for iPad owners.
Adobe is launching a new app entirely focused on the iPad design demographic, a growing market that companies need to take note of when making productivity apps.
Named Comp CC, it's a new app with thousands of design and layout tools for professionals. It's compatible with a variety of Adobe desktop apps like Illustrator, Photoshop and Fireworks.

It's Adobe's first major mobile launch, considering previous apps like Illustrator Draw and Photoshop Sketch have all been watered down versions of the desktop app for the more casual professional that doesn't need some of the refinement tools.
This goes against the normal form factor designers like to work on. In fact, most professional designers own a drawing tablet because of the form factor. Adobe recently launched a stylus for these designers to make sure the iPad is a suitable option.
Comp CC is a major step in the right direction but it still needs the core desktop lineup to make it a powerful application. On its own, designers can make excellent postcards, portfolios and promotional material, but it still lacks a lot of Adobe's professional library.
Adobe is offering the app for free but as we said, professionals will most likely need the CC Package to find any benefit.
