French investigators are denying the existence of a Germanwings crash video which two European news outlets say was allegedly found at the crash site when the airline’s Flight 9525 slammed into the French Alps a week ago.
This controversial crash video allegedly showed the terrifying events that took place inside the passenger jet liner shortly before it crashed into the mountains. Bild am Sonntag, a German newspaper, and Paris Match, a French magazine, had claimed that their reporters were shown a video that was reportedly recorded from inside the plane before it crashed.

The German publication stated that the scene inside the plane was “chaotic” and the video was “completely shaky” that not a single person could be identified. However, they stand by their report that “the accuracy of the video is beyond question.”
The alleged video also reportedly corroborates some of the data that was derived from the plane’s cockpit recording. However, French officials neither confirmed nor denied that a partial transcript for the recording was in place
Their reports have indicated that the video was obtained from a recovered memory card from a cellphone from one of the passengers.
However, Elaine Cobbe of CBS News said that all of the recovered cellphones of the passengers may have already been taken by the local authorities, but they have not been examined yet. Apart from that, they were also not sure if any of the cellphones were in good enough condition in order for them to get accessible data.
The overseer of the French unit looking into the crash, Marseille Prosecutor Brice Robin, no such video was found “among the wreckage by a source close to the investigation,” as Paris Match has reported.
Lieutenant Col. Jean-Marc Menichini, a high ranking official had also denied that there was any recovered footage from the cellphones that were found at the crash site.
However, despite the adamant denial of the authorities, Paris Match has insisted that their reported obtained “access” to the said video. However, he refused to provide the name of the alleged video source.
