The Tuscaloosa County Sheriff says the supposed victim of domestic violence in the hands of former Alabama football player Jonathan Taylor has recanted her allegations.
The 24-year old victim, also noted as Taylor's girlfriend, whose name has not been revealed since the investigation is still on-going, has recanted her charges and statements against Taylor.

For her tirade, she was charged for reporting a false crime, arrested, and subsequently released after posting bail.
The 21-year old Taylor had been dismissed from the Alabama football team last Sunday, only a day after he was arrested for the alleged domestic violence third-degree assault and third-degree criminal mischief.
She had told police officials that Taylor caused injuries to her neck and destroyed some of the property in her apartment, a news release reported.
Tuscaloosa officers had determined there seemed to be probable cause when they saw the injury on the victim's neck as well as a large hole on the closet door bedroom. It had appeared to be punched through.
The victim had originally reported the situation to the police on Saturday night where she said that she and Taylor had a verbal disagreement that turned physical afterwards.
However, she recanted her charges the following Monday, explaining to officers that Taylor did her no harm. On Tuesday, she recanted again, which prompted officers to charge her with filing of a false report.
Lt. Kip Hart of the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Department said that the charge was filed because the victim had to learn that she can be accountable for her own words.
The recanting of statements is a common thing, reports Scott Miller, a program director of the nationally recognized Domestic Abuse Intervention Programs. He says that in the end, about 80 to 90 percent of victims recant their statements.
In an email, Miller guessed that the victim initially said what she said out of fear, but instantly regretted it when Taylor lost his scholarship.
