Tight end Vernon Davis says that The San Francisco 49ers seem to be improving their overall game as quarterback Colin Kaepernick is developing his game in the offseason. Davis says signs are projecting toward a positive angle.

Last Friday, Davis spoke with reporters regarding Kaepernick's development in the offseason. He told the reporters that Kaepernick was looking like a totally different guy.

Majority of Kaepernick's offseason has been spent with Kurt Warner, former Most Valuable Player (MVP) signal-caller.

Warner aims to develop Kaepernick's athletic fourth-year arm into one that can be much more comfortable staying in the quarterback position.

Kaepernick also took to reporters last Friday to express his desire to learn everything he can and get better in every aspect of his game in order to help his team win more.

He added that he was also excited to collaborate with the 49ers' new offensive coordinator Geep Chryst.

While Kaepernick set career highs in passing and rushing yards, pundits were hoping that the 49ers would add new staff to help direct the quarterback to a positive direction.

Instead, the direction that the 49ers took was to completely overhaul their coaching staff beginning with replacing quarterback guru Jim Harbaugh with Jim Tomsula.

With pressure mounting to keep the 49ers successful, Tomsula spoke highly of Kaepernick and the development of his skills. He stated that Kaepernick was one of the hardest working players in the roster.

He added that Kaepernick had taken something good and made it much better.

Kaepernick currently has a US $10.4 million base salary for the 2015 season. It became a fully guaranteed salary only last week.

For a franchise player who holds the future of the team in his hands, Kaepernick's base salary stands as an affordable price tag on a star player.

However, Marc Sessler of NFL.com says that Kaepernick's year-to-year status speaks of how the team values him.
