Old controversies involving former President Bill Clinton and new ones against former State Secretary Hillary Clinton are being compiled as Republican hopefuls roll on the "Stop Hillary" campaign.

Washington Post reports that on the day of Clinton's low-key launch of her presidential bid under the Democratic Party, the GOP is acknowledging her strong political strength. In an effort to undermine her return to the White House, strategists of Republican candidates are bringing up her record as the country's top diplomat.

Seen as a common opponent, the GOP is preparing research, video clips and a feature film to destroy Clinton's credibility before voters. Even ahead of her announcement of her second presidential run, Republican leaders attempted to use the recent emailgate scandal - her sending emails using her private address and from her house in New York - to dent her popularity, but they have failed to do so.

The Republican National Committee pushed heavily its Web ad, which questions donations from foreign sources to the Clinton foundation and the email controversy. Rence Priebus, chairman of the committee, paints Clinton as a "cold, Nixonian liberal millionaire."

Prebus recently gave the go-signal for a six-figure advertising campaign that would target voters in vote-rich states.

Some of the hits happened at the National Rifle Association gathering in Tennessee on Friday where they spoke against Clinton's candidacy in speeches and media interviews.

A book tentatively titled "The Clintons' War on Women" by Republican consultant Roger Stone is expected to be released in summer. Stone said the book is about how the former first family handled issues that came out involving the personal life of the former president.

Meanwhile, Citizens United is producing an anti-Clinton film, a sequel to "Hillary: The Movie" that was shown prior to the 2008 campaign. That film centered on Hillary's days in Arkansas and the White House, while the upcoming movie will focus on her time as secretary of state. David Bossies, president of Citizens United, said expect a March or April 2016 run for the anti-Hillary movie.

Also under production is the partisan website HillaryWatch.com that will list Clinton's position on various policies. Another online publication, Washington Free Beacon, has its editorial staff going over the archives of the Clinton Presidential Library to publish articles with investigative angles and humor, disclosed Michael Goldfarb, the website's founder.

The decision to build an arsenal against Clinton was made over a year ago, said Sean Spicer, chief political adviser of the committee, although they are also keeping an eye on other Democratic hopefuls such as Martin O'Malley, Jim Webb and Lincoln Chafee.

However, Spicer acknowledges, "It's a question of math, and you'd have to be from another planet to think Lincoln Chafee is going to be a viable contender."
