Jordan Spieth now owns the green jacket and also holds the distinction of being the only player at Masters to reach under 19.

Spieth was the first player since 1976 to finish off the first wire-to-wire victory at the Masters. He did so with a four strokes of perfection last Sunday.

The only blemish in Spieth's otherwise great achievement came in the last hole, where he made a bogey to tie the tournament scoring record.

Spieth matched Tiger Woods' score when he won his first green jacket in 1997, closing with a score of 70.

Despite that though, Spieth showed off a dominating performance as he held the control for most of the game with an 8-under 64. His opening round at the Masters was the best seen since 19 years ago.

He also set a record at the Masters with 28 birdies, just three more than Phil Mickelson's best of 25 from 2001.

Spieth pulled away to in the final round where no one even came close to his score.

Mickelson was closing in early on, but needed a truly spectacular round to reach the top.

However, he ended as a runner-up when he closed with a 3-under 69. He tied with Justin rose four shots just behind the wire-to-wire winner.

Mickelson was always four shots behind the lead even after he made an eagle from the bunker at the par-5 15th hole.Three bogeys would doom his performance though, pulling him away from Spieth.

He adds though that it was a really fun tournament, even acknowledging his good golf play. His best praise would be saved for Spieth though who he though was "phenomenal."

In other news, Woods sustained a right hand injury during the final round of the Masters. A drive at the ninth hole saw Woods strike a hidden tree root.

The club flew out of his hand as a scream emanated throughout the field. He shook his hand to assuage the pain and managed to salvage par on the way to a closing 1-over 73.
