Actress Olivia Munn will portray Betsy Braddock otherwise known as Psylocke, in the upcoming movie, X-Men: Apocalypse, according to Director Bryan Singer's Instagram post last Monday via Variety.
Munn will join the roster of new characters introduced in the movie, such as 'Game Of Thrones' star Sophie Turner, who will play the young Jean Grey, Oscar Isaac portraying the antagonist En Sabah Nur, also known as Apocalypse and Lana Condor playing Jubilee.

James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender will reprise their roles as Professor Xavier and Magneto respectively. Other returning stars include Nicholas Hoult and Rose Byrne. Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart, who play the older version of Professor Xavier and Magneto, will not return for the next installment.
Psylocke's character made its debut appearance in 1976 but only served as a minor character in the previous X-men film.
Fans will definitely look forward to Psylocke being one of the key characters in the movie.
Psylocke's only appearance was in the 2006 movie, 'X-Men, The Last Stand'. She served as one of Magneto's followers and was portrayed by actress Mei Melancon.
The mutant's power has been altered several times but strongly resembles like that of Jean Grey's telepathy and telekinesis.
After the 34 year old actress' success of her two movies such as 'Mortdecai' with co-star Johnny Depp and 'Deliver Us From Evil', she has a steady stream of movie projects coming this year.
Aside from the 'Apocalypse' movie, Munn will star in 'Ride Along 2' along with Ice Cube and Kevin Hart in 2016.
The upcoming X-men film, directed by Bryan Singer is based from a script made by writers Simon Kinberg, Dan Harris and Michael Dougherty.
The movie is slated for release on May 27, 2016
