With roughly three weeks before the fight of the century, camps of both Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao has been trading accusation regarding the use of performance enhancing drugs which has been one of chief topics during the negotiations leading up to the agreement of the fight.
Mayweather’s father and head trainer Floyd Mayweather Sr. has been a skeptic of Pacquiao’s devastating punching power ever since, believing the boxer’s asset that put down a bevy of future Hall of Fame fighters during his prime might be a product of performance enhancing drugs.

In an interview with ESNews Ellie Sechback, Mayweather once again hurled a ‘not-so-subtle’ PED allegation towards Pacquiao’s camp.
"All that punching power ya'll talkin' about he got...forget about it. It's done. It's over. It's no more! Floyd gonna tear his ass apart," the elder Mayweather told ESNews.
"Yeah the fight mighta coulda been different - you know why? Cause people sometimes do things that other people don't do! So it coulda been different...but being that things are random right now, he finna get his ass tore out the frame."
On the other camp, Pac-man’s trainer Freddie Roach responded with a PED allegations of his own, as he questioned Mayweather’s large body frame and his personnel’s integrity, especially Pacquiao’s former straight and conditioning trainer Alex Ariza who happens to be Mayweather’s current trainer.
Drug testing was the one being blamed behind the collapse of previous negotiations between Mayweather and Pacquiao, which eventually led up to nasty legal battle between both camp over the accusation of Mayweathers and then the boxer’s handler Golden Boy Promotions implicating Pacquiao of using PED.
At that time, many boxing fans and pundits alike believed the bad blood between the two camps would be too much for them to re-enter another negotiation.
However, Pacquiao’s decision to adapt the random drug testing protocol and agree on the USADA Olympic-style testing opened the floodgates for all the parties involved to stage the most lucrative boxing event in history.
