(Photo : The Dr. Oz Show) A study published on the British Medical Journal reveals that more than half of Dr.Oz's advice is baseless.
In an episode to air on Thursday, cardiothoracic surgeon Dr. Mehmet Oz, 54, will address the physicians who have written a request letter to Columbia University asking the school to remove him from his prestigious post as vice chairman of the surgery department.
In a video clip from the upcoming episode of "The Dr. Oz Show," the doctor is shown denying the accusations of doctors criticizing him for promoting certain treatments in order to gain personal financial advantages rather than for actual medicinal benefits.

Ten prominent physicians, not associated with Columbia University accuses Dr. Oz of being "a fake, and a charlatan" who has been promoting "quack treatments" on his television show. The letter, first signed Henry I. Miller and followed by nine other signatures said that they are dismayed that the College of Physicians and Surgeons at Columbia University would permit Dr. Oz to be part of the faculty and to hold a senior administrative position in the Department of Surgery.
Dr. Oz, who has repeatedly spoken out against genetically modified organisms (GMOs), is further scrutinized for ignoring scientific evidence as basis for medicine.
In the video clip, Dr. Oz said that his First Ammendment Rights is being attacked and that he will not be silenced nor will he give in. Initially, he responded to the complaints through a written statement saying he has a duty to inform the public that will help them choose which path to take towards their own wellness by providing them various points of view.
In the clip, Dr. Oz further said that as Americans, the freedom of speech is a fundamental right and that the 10 doctors have no right to prevent him from speaking his mind.
Last June, a Senate panel also challenged Dr. Oz's inegrity for his endorsement of a "miracle" weight loss product that does not work. According to CNN, Dr. Oz will devote most of this week's episode in addressing his critics.
