Bloomfield's fellow broadcasters paid homage, describing him as 'the perfect colleague' and someone who has a professional approach in his work. His optimistic personality made him a known public figure.
Niall Horan, a Derby County supporter, remembers Bloomfield as an amazing person and a good commentator at the same time.
Horan also expressed his grief through social media expressing his condolences for Bloomfield's immediate family. Horan further added that Bloomfield possessed great passion for his place in Derby County.
Colin Gibson, a Derby County spokesman, also remembered Bloomfield as a 'consummate professional' in the field of broadcasting. He described Bloomfield as someone who can perform two tasks at the same.
"He could really turn his hand into anything," said Gibson.
The late broadcaster also garnered a huge applause when his name was chanted at a Ram's championship match football game.
Bloomfield was initially diagnosed with a cancerous mole, which was eventually removed from his leg almost 10 years ago.
However, the cancer recurred last 2013 and he had to undergo a series of chemotherapy. A few months ago, Bloomfield was told that his cancer was terminal.
The date and venue for the tribute concert is still left to be announced.
