Several testers have started scrapping with the Apple Watch, to see if there are any inconsistencies between the two devices.
It looks like the major inconsistency comes on the glass, the Watch Sport features Ion-X glass, while the Watch and Watch Edition both feature sapphire crystal glass.

Certain types of scratching will leave a mark on the Watch Sport, but nothing apart from diamond will scratch the Watch and Watch Edition. Sapphire crystal glass is one of the most scratch resistant glass-types in the world, the entire reason Apple picked it up for the Watch.
This does mean for 50 percent of all of the customers picking up the Apple Watch, the glass will not strong enough for some scrapes. Thankfully the Watch is in a less precarious position, compared to an iPhone which may spend most of its time in a back pocket or on an unclean desk.
Both Watch units are water resistant up to thirty minutes in three meters of water. Not exactly waterproof, but enough to get most users through heavy rain or a swim in the pool. Apple is not advertising this feature, although it does show some press photos of people swimming and in the rain.
There doesn't seem to be any major issues with the build when it comes to performance, meaning if it drops it will still work. It also cannot bend obviously, with its 1.5-inch display we doubt anything could at that size.
The screen difference does give the Apple Watch some inherent value against the Watch Sport, which can circum to scratching quite easily. The average price of the Watch Sport is $350 less than the Watch -- this seems adequate for the additional protection the screen alongside the stainless steel design.
Apple managed to sell two million units during the two week pre-order bonanza and is expecting to sell over 26 million by the end of the year. It is a big task, considering the current limitations of the platform, but the pre-orders give a lot of hope.
We will get our first official look at the Apple Watch sales in Apple's earnings report later today. Check back at China Topix to hear how Apple did this quarter.
