Cyanogen And Truecaller Team Up to Deliver New Dialer App

The global partnership also includes Truecaller's Caller ID feature into devices that run the Cyanogen OS. Moreover, the partnership also aims to avoid the annoyance of unwanted calls, unrecognized incoming numbers and too zealous spams and telemarketers.

According to the official blog of Cyanogen, they will introduce an integrated dialer on future smartphone devices that are preloaded with Cyanogen OS. Furthermore, users of OnePlus One and Yureka can now download the new feature in OTA update.
Another deal of the partnership is the next release of the dialer as this features Truecaller, which has 100 million users that can identify numbers, block spam and the monthly performance of about 2 billion searches.
The application, as available through operating system, also gives choice to use or uninstall application based on users' peferences. "Cyanogen is all about giving users control and putting the 'personal' back into mobile computing. As with any app we make available through our operating system, you have the choice to use or uninstall an app based on your individual preferences," Cyanogen Inc. said on its official blog.
The new Cyanogen and Truecaller team up also has other add-ons such as contact cards, Material Design and head-up notifications, according to a report by Android Central.
Dave Herman, VP of Product Development at Cyanogen Inc., said that Truecaller shared their vision of enabling an open platform that gave their users choice in their experiences on core application, a report by Android Authority said. "This is another in a series of strategic partnerships we've forged that radically advances the current mobile phonebook experience and upgrades what native dial pad apps can offer," Herman added.
Cyanogen is known for its CyanogenMod, the FOSS Android-based operating system while Truecaller is an application that identifies unknown numbers and block spam calls.
