One Direction frontman Harry Styles' camp slammed the dating rumor that has surfaced about 23-year-old talent agent Joy Muggli, who was recently reported to be seeing the singer in secret.

Representatives for Harry Styles denied the said dating rumor, which also alleged that the One Direction memer had fallen in love with someone who's not in the limelight. The rep told Mail Online that the story is fabricated as "Harry has never even heard of" the Los Angeles talent agent.

The publication claimed that Harry Styles and Muggli met through their mutual friend, Jeff Azoff, during his birthday party last January. However, Styles was dating model Nadine Leopold when the dating rumor surfaced.

After he and Leopold called it quits, Harry Styles reportedly took Muggli on a short vacation in Palm Springs since they both went golfing at the desert city around the same time. However, no pictures of them together were seen.

Although the dating rumor has been proven to be false, that did not stop the heartthrob's fans from reacting, with some even taking to Muggli's personal Instagram account to write her mean messages.

And it seems that the pretty brunette, who just recently concluded her birthday celebrations, has received some unwanted and unexpected attention due to the dating rumor as she wrote a cryptic message on her Twitter last week. She said that she understands life is not perfect at 22 but remarked that she "definitely didn't sign up for this."

A few hours later, she again tweeted, "Is that lightning or paparazzi?" followed by the hashtag #LAProblems.

Harry Styles was last seen on a night out with his friends at the popular West Hollywood restaurant, Madeo's on Friday. He looked like a total rock star, wearing black skinny jeans, black button-down and black jacket with yellow detailing on the sleeves.

It has been a rough few months for the boys of One Direction, with Zayn Malik quitting the band and Louis Tomlinson getting into a spat with Malik and producer Naughty Boy. 

Neither Harry Styles nor Joy Muggli have personally addressed the dating rumors.
