The girls of Pitch Perfect 2 face "Pitch Perfect 2" the R-rated and "Mad Max: Fury Road"  in the weekend Box Office. It is expected by the industry observers that "Pitch Perfect 2" will gross more than $50 million while "Mad Max" will earn approximately $40 million in the three day weekend. "Mad Max: Fury Road" releases day and date overseas will have a promotions with its stars Charlize Theron and Tom Hardy in the Cannes International Film Festival.

Cannes serves as George Miller's international junket return into the dystopian future. The stars and director of "Mad Max Fury Road" will be on the Riviera to talk to the international media as the action film rolls-out in more than 16,000 screens and 68 markets in the weekend. The façade of the Carlton Hotel is posted with posters, and red carpet is one of the important events of the 10-day festival in Cannes.

On the other hand, according to Philstar, "Pitch Perfect 2" will also make a debut in 27 countries like the Philippines, Russia, U.K. Germany. The film premiered in New Zealand and Australia over the weekend and it was able to gather 300 percent profits more than the premiere of the first "Pitch Perfect" in those markets.

Variety reported that Elizabeth Banks directed "Pitch Perfect 2" and the film is her so-called helming debut. The girls in "PP2" are all dressed-up and competes in the international championships of acapella. There are a lot of pillow fights, more epic on liners, more Jesse and more Elizabeth Banks. The film will come out on May 15.

It can be noted that the first "Pitch Perfect" showed in limited premiere before going worldwide in September 2012, where it earned $65 million from domestic theaters and $113 million from international box office.
