Gwyneth Paltrow gets criticized a lot for being herself, but her mom, Blythe Danner, believes that is just proof of how "accomplished" she is.

Blythe Danner appeared on the Today Show to promote her new film, "I'll See You in My Dreams" and told Natalie Morales that her daughter is constantly criticized simply because people are "intimated" by her accomplishments.

The 72-year old actress admitted that she does not keep track of what's written about her family online, especially Gwyneth, but figured that most of what is written is simply "trying to sell papers or whatever that's called over the Internet.," . According to Blythe Danner, Gwyneth is "the most extraordinary girl who can do everything."

In complete mom-mode, Blythe Danner continued to gush about the finder of lifestyle website Goop and the mom of 10-year old Apple and 9-year old Moses.

Blythe Danner described Gwyneth as an incredible mother and revealed her daughter's humble side when she shared Gwyneth's been quietly, away from the media spotlight, helping her late husband Bruce Paltrow's oral cancer foundation raise money.

Danner, who is extremely proud of what Gwyneth has become said, "I think she is so accomplished that people get kind of intimated by it."

As for the "Iron Man" actress, she told the website, Red, back in November of 2013 that it's a waste of energy to care about things people who don't even know her say and revealed that she simply ignores the things being written about her.

Aside from her mother, Blythe Danner, Gwyneth also has ex-husband, Chris Martin in her corner. Even though the pair called it quits last year, they remain extremely good friends, who are often seen taking vacations and celebrating special holidays with their kids.

Asked about the former couple, Blythe Danner replied, "They are great parents. They've handled everything well."
