Lena Dunham is a big fan of Kim Kardashian! "The Girls" creator and actress shared a photo of her Thursday on her Instagram account holding Kim's newly released book of selfies called "Selfish."

The proud owner of Kim Kardashian's 400-page photo book captioned the snap, "Selfie with selfish" followed by the hashtag #yeahiboughtit. Lena Dunham also included an explanation saying she bought Kim Kardashian's book because she "supports experiments in female identity exploration."

In case you missed the highly publicized launch of Kim Kardashian's coffee table book titled "Selfish," the book features over 400 pages full of her pictures from over the years and promises readers with numerous "never-before-seen personal photos" of the famous E! reality star.

Kim Kardashian gushed about "Selfish" and said her pictures "bring back so many memories." The pictures which were taken over the span of almost ten years are "only a fraction of the thousands of selfies we considered for publication," she said.

Meanwhile, Lena Dunham, who just celebrated her birthday this May 13 on the set of her hit HBO show, was showered with a cluster of balloons featuring boomboxes, horses, unicorns, hearts and bananas with sunglasses on.

The 29-year old actress, director, writer, and "Selfish" fan seemed to be in really high spirits when she was photographed walking down the street, holding a folder in her left hand.

Earlier that day, Lena Dunham took to her social media websites to personally express her gratitude to fans for sending her birthday greetings. Instead of a photo of her, she shared a snap of Paris Hilton blowing out her birthday candles.

"An adult birthday is a personal thanksgiving and yeah, I give thanks for all of you," said Lena Dunham.

Aside from the selfie with Kim Kardashian's book "Selfish," Lena Dunham also shared one of the birthday gifts she received. It was a small purse from the Greer Lankton Archives Museum, covered in pins featuring photos of the late artist widely known for life-like dolls.
