Samsung Confirms Galaxy Tab A 9.7 UK Release Date; Device Will Hit Stores In May 21

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7 will finally go on sale in the United Kingdom in May 21 after making a successful round of release in different regions including the United States and Russia.
According to PC Advisor, three models of the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7 will be released in the UK market; a Wi-Fi only model, an Wi-Fi with LTE capability model and one that comes in with an S Pen Stylus. Samsung has yet to confirm the official price of the tablet but in the US it costs around $300 which is about £190 if converted.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7 models that will be released in the UK will be slightly bigger compared to models released in other regions, according to GSM Arena. The UK model measures 166.8mm wide, 242mm long and 7.5mm thick.
Despite the three models' difference in terms of data connectivity, all three is power by the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 1.2GHz quad-core processor. The Wi-Fi-only model will have 1.5 gigabytes of RAM while the other two will have 2 gigabytes. Storage capacity is reported to be 16 gigabyte and for users who wants extra storage space, there is microSD slot that can expand the device's storage capacity by as much as 128 gigabyte.
As its name suggests, the device will have a 9.7-inch touchscreen display with 1024 x 768 resolution. All models will have a 5 megapixel rear camera and a 2 megapixel front camera, according to Pocket-Lint. Additionally, the rear camera will have Auto Focus technology and Continuous Shot feature with 20-shot burst mode. The rear camera can also record video in 720p resolution.
Samsung also boasts the Galaxy Tab A 9.7's 6000 mAh battery which the company claim can last 10 hours on a single full charge.
The tablet will come in three colors; blue, white and grey.
