Former Spice Girls member, Geraldine Estelle "Geri" Halliwell, 42, nicknamed Ginger Spice has tied the knot with her boyfriend, Formula One boss Christian Horner, 46, on May 15, Friday.

The lavish wedding ceremony took place at the 18th century old St. Mary's Church in the quaint village of Woburn, Bedfordshire, east England. Geri Halliwell met Christian Horner in 2009, but dated publicly only last year.

Geri Halliwell's engagement with Christian Horner was put on a newspaper classified ad late last year.

In attendance were celebrities like Dawn French, Myleene Klass, Amanda Holden, and Niki Lauda. Among the Spice Girlsl, only former band mate Emma "Baby Spice" Bunton attended.

Showing that  "friendship never ends," the 39-year-old Emma arrived cheerfully with fiancé Jade Jones, wearing a black coat over a simple cream and black dress. On her head was a cupid arrow fascinator.

The two other Spice members, Victoria "Posh Spice" Beckham and Melanie "Sporty Spice" Chisholm (Mel C), were not able to attend as they were out of the country. They sent their congratulations to Geri Halliwell via Twitter.

However, as much as Geri Halliwell planned her wedding with Christian Horner to be a close family affair with her own and the Spice Girls family as well, Emma's sons Beau, 7, Tate, 4 and Mel C's youngest daughter Madison, 3, stood as participants in the wedding ceremony.

Geri Halliwell headed up the aisle in a white lace gown designed by bridal dressmaker Philippa Lepley --- which was reminiscent of the wedding dress worn by the Duchess of Cambridge in 2011. Even the bridesmaids wore inspired dresses from Kate Middleton's bridesmaids.

Her nine-year-old daughter Bluebell Madonna, who wore a blue dress, escorted Geri Halliwell down the aisle. Bluebell Madonna, who acted as flower girl is Geri's daughter from former boyfriend, Sacha Gervasi, a screenwriter.

On a sour note, Christian Horner's parents did not attend the lavish wedding as they have promised. It is believed that the parents did not approve of Christian abandoning his girlfriend of 14 years in favor of the Geri Halliwell.

Christian Horner's ex, Beverly, just gave birth to their daughter, Olivia, six months ago. However, Christian's siblings and their family members were there to witness him tying the knot with Geri Halliwell.
