China is home to a number of popular stars such as Jackie Chan, Zhang Ziyi, and Li Bingbing. However, it's not the least bit surprising that residents of China look to stars of Korea. A number of South Korean stars are quite popular in China. Who are these exactly?

Kim Soo Hyun, the star of the latest KDrama series, "The Producers," is well-known and not to mention the most hyped star in China. In fact, KDrama Stars reports that Kim Soo Hyun was named the most influential Korean Star of 2014 by the online publication in China called People's Daily.

Another Kim joining the list of popular Korean stars in China is none other than "Running Man's" Sparta, Kim Jong Kook. Kim Jong Kook was ranked at number two spot on the People's Daily poll. Other "Running Man" members, Haha, Gwangsoo, Ji Sukjin, Yoo Jae Suk, Gary, and Song Jihyo are also quite popular. During their visit to China for their Hong Kong special on the show, the cast was taken aback by the huge number of fans at the airport on their arrival.

With fans quite supportive of the Korean variety show, China has made their own version of "Running Man." As for members of "RM," the cast is said to hold a fan meeting in China. News of the said fan meeting was reported early in May.

"We are planning a Hong Kong fan meeting where all members of 'Running Man' attend," shared a representative of the show in the report, adding, "We are trying to work out the schedule and if there are no specific problems, we will carry through with the plans."

Other Korean stars well loved by China include Rain, Lee Joong Ki, Siwon, Super Junior, and Girls Generation. Lee Min Ho on the other hand was voted by Chinese fans as their most wanted Korean star to take part in a drama series in China.
