NFL News: Tom Brady Too Silent To Defend Himself On Deflategate Scandal

New England Patriot's quarterback Tom Brady is deemed too silent to defend himself with regards to the Deflategate punishment that he currently faces from the NFL.

The superstar quarterback was handed out a four-game suspension by the NFL, while the team was fined $1 million and negated of two draft picks (first round, 2016; and fourth round, 2017) for the violation.

Brady officially appealed the Deflategate case in a court of law, but fans and reporters want him "to speak up and speak out" as written by Christopher Gasper of The Boston Globe.

Gasper also wrote that Brady was staying silent because he was careful about doing something that would put his appeal at risk. But Gasper continued that "a simple statement with his name on it" saying that he never told anyone to deflate the game balls or that he never violated any NFL rule "jeopardizes nothing, if it's true."

Apparently, Brady was also too charming to answer any Deflategate question during his guesting at Saturday Night Live, according to CBS Sports' Jared Dubin.

Brady and the Patriots were said to be given one of the harshest punishments in the history of the NFL for allegedly deflating footballs during the AFC Championship game against the Indianapolis Colts. The violation was given the nickname Deflategate. The Pats won that game, 45-7, but the NFL discovered afterwards that 11 out of the 12 game balls used that day were underinflated at two pounds per square inch below league requirements.

For the Win's Josh Peter reports that Brady's popularity have plunged after the Deflategate issue was uncovered.
