Kanye West apologized to the millions of viewers who witnessed his heavily censored performance during this year's Billboard Music Awards.
The 37-year old rapper released an official statement through his publicist in which he said that he was "grossly over-censored" during the Billboard Music Awards 2015. Kanye West detailed how even some of th the innocent lyrics in his song, such as "with my leather black jeans on," were bleeped for more than 30 seconds.

Kanye West, who recently earned his doctorate degree, is reportedly disappointed that the censorship resulted in the misrepresentation of his performance, as well as his voice.
The Billboard Music Awards spectators at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas showered West with "boos" as he performed his hit songs "Black Skinhead" and "All Day," which was broadcast on ABC.
West's statement is an apology to the TV viewers, who he says did not enjoy his performance in the way he had imagined they would.
Kim Kardashian's husband was not the only one who got heckled by the audience during the Billboard Music Awards. West's sister-in-laws Kendall and Kylie Jenner were also booed as soon as they took the stage at the Billboard Music Awards to introduce West before his closing performance.
The two teenagers only needed to address the audience really briefly, but still were not able to escape the rude and loud booing by the Billboard Music Awards audience. Nevertheless, the reality stars impressively remained cool and displayed nonchalant expressions.
They continued to smile and properly delivered their brother West's introduction.
The Billboard Music Awards 2015 marks the second time that Kendall Jenner has been booed in public. Last week, she harvested boos at an L.A. Clippers game when the camera focused on them and the big screen showed her and her big sister Khloe Kardashian.
