Novak Djokovic's onslaught continued with a dominant straights set victory over Roger Federer in the final of the Rome Masters last Sunday. With another clinical win on clay, the Serb has already topped Rafael Nadal as the no.1 favorite at the French Open based on the latest betting odds.

Djokovic, who has bagged four of the first five ATP Masters tournaments this year, comes as a 4/7 favorite at Roland Garros, the only Grand Slam championship that evaded him up to this point of his career.

Buoyed by his amazing 35-2 start this season along with Nadal's lackluster play as of late, the 27-year old Djokovic is without a doubt the man to beat in the tournament.

On the other hand, bookmakers are still not ruling out Nadal from pulling off a vintage performance on the red dirt of Paris, as they pegged the Spaniard as a 9/5 favorite. Madrid Masters winner Andy Murray (7/1), Istanbul Open champ Roger Federer (15/1) and Japanese sensation Kei Nishikori (18/1) rounded out the top five of contenders.

Djokovic is fresh from a decisive victory against Federer 6-4, 6-3 to bag his fifth title of the year. Although he admitted the 33-year old Federer gave him a run for his money in the opening frame, the Serb somehow found his way to win by taking crucial points in the match.

"I was able to find my way through," Djokovic told reporters during the post-match interviews via IBT "Roger put a lot of pressure on my service game at 4-4, but I managed to respond well, to gain those break points, move him around the court, and then I played a couple of great points that gave me the set. When you're a set up, the momentum is shifting to your side and you start to feel better."

The 27-year old Djokovic is expected to take a one week rest before he kicks off  his campaign for a career Grand Slam next week.
