Looks like interaction in the virtual world is revealing its ugly side effects as popular adult website Adult Friend Finder was hacked by a bunch of goons exposing the sex life info of the unsuspecting users to the world.

As highlighted by Businessinsider, an investigation by Channel 4 News has revealed that the adult website Adult Friend Finder has been hacked. The most worrying part about the entire episode is that crucial details about the unsuspecting users are now revealed in the virtual world. The details of millions of users have been leaked creating a situation of panic. According to WPTV, the leaked info is being circulated on spreadsheet forums threating the personal lives of almost 3.5 million users, who created their profile on the portal.

Adult Friend Finder is one of the biggest dating networks in the virtual world that has helped people find traditional groups, swing partners, kinky partners and a lot more that fulfils their sexual fantasy. It has almost 63 million users all over the world. When users want to register on the portal, it asks several questions which help the others understand the interests as well as sexual preference of the member. What starts as simple questions about the gender, sexual orientation, etc. gradually progresses to details about sexual fantasies, partner preference and other intimate details that most people would never be comfortable revealing to the public.

It is said that the hack had first been exposed earlier in March, when an independent IT consultant took the efforts and revealed the problem on her website. Bev Robb, the IT consultant who exposed the entire matter on her blog, did not reveal the name of the victim leaving the situation open to interpretation.

However, just this week, England's Channel 4 news revealed the identity of the victim, which is when Adult Friend Finder hit the headlines. The news is expected to have created panic amongst the millions of users that relied on the website.
