Facebook Messenger Adds New Feature To Make It Easier To Get Info on Non-Friends

With the new chat id feature, Facebook Messenger will make it easier for users to categorize the requests from non-friends very easily as they will get more hints on who is adding them.
Facebook users receive several friend requests on a daily basis; however, not all of these requests are worth accepting. Given this situation, Facebook Inc. announced the development of Chat Messenger to include new features that will make it easier for members to use this interface.

According to TheNextDigit, the Facebook messenger has included a new feature where the users will be given several hints that will empower them to decide whether or not to respond to unknown friend requests. Thanks to this new feature, members will be able to see the job title, current city location and several information such trivial details about the users making it easier for them to decide. Using this application, members will be able to see this information for all those with whom they have not chatted until date.
As of now, this new feature is available on Android and iOS in the U.S., India and even France. To give you a better idea about how this feature works, let us take an example. Each time you receive a request from unknown user, Facebook will also flash information regarding the profession, location and other details about the person sending the chat message. The core purpose of showing this information is to ensure that the members do not end up entertaining request from spammers. Facebook has also confirmed that it will continue to work on introducing more features that will add a level of uniqueness to its usage.
According to Siliconangle, the new feature will also help in figuring out whether or not the person sending the friend request is associated to you in any manner. The interesting fact is that the feature will be available for friends and non-friends who will try to contact you for the first time. With more features being added, the messenger is fast emerging as a strong contender of Facebook's other messaging apps like Whatsapp.
