"D4" had quite a successful run on the Xbox One, more so for the Kinect, where the game used the console's voice and motion controls in inventive and immersive ways. Gamers can grab their own copy of the game when it debuts for only $15 on Steam, Playism, the Humble Store and GOG.
Basically, "D4" revolves around the mysterious adventures of a Boston detective who, because of a bullet lodged in his skull, has the power to travel back into pivotal points of the timelines of objects he touches. The main character is investigating the brutal murder of his wife, and along the way, he encounters a strange supernatural crime organization that takes his quest for the truth down a much darker path.
The game's creator Hidetaka Suehiro announced "D4's" PC version in April, but there were very limited details available back then. Today, the developers revealed a plethora of available changes, including an all-Xbox DLC, as well as an option for playing the game at 60 FPS. The Kinect-enabled system had been replaced by a mouse-only function, so players can essentially enjoy "D4" without a keyboard or an attached console controller. The mouse allows you to perform various interactions with the game world including direction and posture changes, grabs, pushes, selection, and a lot more.
All Kinect commands, including gesture input controls, synchronous actions like wiping windows, as well as synchro stunt commands like waving both arms, have all been customized for mouse use.
The "D4" PC version will come with all the episode of the first season, along with various DLC specials. For instance, the all-Xbox One DLC has been turned into regular game content. Some of these DLCs will be purchasable as bundles on Steam. These include:
"D4: Dark Dreams Don't Die" Season One Standalone Game $14.99
"D4" Digital Art Book DLC $4.99
Mini Soundtrack (four songs) DLC $3.99
DLC $29.99 9 SWERY Fan Outfit Pack (Coffee) DLC $0.99
