The suspense surrounding Tao's future with Chinese-Korean pop band EXO deepens, as he is not featured in the promotional plans for the group's repackaged second album, titled "Love Me Right."

EXO scored a huge hit with their second album, originally titled "EXODUS." The repackaged album contains all the ten songs from the second album and in addition to that, four new songs have been recorded. Tao did not participate in the making of the new songs, according to Soompi's report. Now, he is also not part of the promotional activities.

There is no confirmed news about Tao's exit from EXO, but this latest news adds to the speculations swirling around him. It is Tao's father who triggered rumours about the possibility of his son leaving the group when he gave an interview to Chinese media. He said that he was concerned about his son's welfare and wanted him to return to China for treatment.

Tao, according to reports, is currently in Los Angeles to get treatment for his leg injury as well as to pursue his studies. He continues to post photos, mostly featuring himself, on his Instagram feed. The latest photo shows him standing with his mother.

China based Netizens have not minced their words after seeing the photo of Tao and his mother. According to Korea Boo, EXO fans attacked him, calling him "ugly" and "pretentious," and saying that he is using his mother as a "shield." One of the posters thinks that the photo has been photoshopped, while another post wonders how he got famous. Korea Boo has quoted one of the poster as saying, "He must treat his work with respect...he didn't forget to put on makeup even while resting hahaha."    

If Tao quits EXO, he will be the third member to do so. Luhan and Kris, who are no longer active members of the group, are currently fighting the contract termination lawsuit filed against them by SM Entertainment.

"Love Me Right" is scheduled to release on June 03, according to SM Management. The album is being released to show the group's gratitude to their fans.
