(Photo : Reuters) Tao will attend a press conference on June 3 to promote a Chinese mobile game.
Tao seems to be in no hurry to join his EXO team. He and SM Entertainment continue to negotiate while the other nine members of the Chinese-Korean pop group are busy promoting their repackaged second album entitled "Love Me Right." Tao did not participate in the recording of the four new songs featured in this album.

SM Entertainment confirmed that Tao will not be participating in the promotion of EXO's repackaged album, but they were still unable to confirm whether Tao is still part of the pop group or not. Korea Boo quoted them as saying, "It cannot be confirmed whether Tao is staying or leaving. Negotiations are still ongoing."
It is Tao's father who first hinted at his discontent with SM Entertainment. In a letter originally published on Chinese social media platform Weibo earlier in April, he wrote that he would like to see his son return to China from South Korea, as he was worried about his health. In addition to health issues, there were business concerns as well. This started speculations about Tao's departure from the group, and SM Entertainment clarified the issue by releasing a statement saying they were negotiating with Tao and his father.
Tao, on the other hand, has yet to release a statement confirming whether he is leaving or staying. He is currently in United States, and he continues to update his fans via his Instagram account. In the recent photos posted on his account, he could be seen wearing his EXO Cartier bracelet.
Meanwhile, the EXO team, consisting of Lay, Suho, Baekhyun, Chanyeol, D.O, Kai, Sehun, Xiumin, and Chen, is set to release the repackaged version of their hugely popular second album entitled "EXODUS." The new album, scheduled to release on June 3, includes the original songs too.
He may not be part of EXO's new album release, but Tao is not short of professional engagement. On the same day, June 3, Tao will attend a press conference for Chinese mobile game Chao Shen Zhan Dui in Beijing, China, according to Korea Boo. Tao signed on as a celebrity endorser of the game, and he will be promoting the product solo. The report also said that 10 of Tao's fans will get a chance to see him at the event.
