iOcean recently released an Android 5.0 Lollipop update for the 16 GB and 8 GB version of iOcean X8 Mini, which is an Android smart phone that is facing a lot of issues lately.

iOcean X8 Mini is the smaller version of iOcean X8 which is equipped with MT6582 processor. It also equipped with a 2 GB of RAM which is sandwiched between two sheets of glasses, according to Giz China. The iOcean X8 Mini was facing many problems with its ROM, with the device showing signs of instability though the company hopes to resolve this issue with the release of Android 5.0 Lollipop upgrade.

Here is the summary of the steps which can be used to download this upgrade:

Users need to click on download icon and save the file then users need to Run the file known as "Setup.exe." The third step is to click on the Android 5.0 Lollipop upgrade option and then the users need to wait for some time, and once the update is downloaded then the phone will be automatically rebooted.

After the reboot, the upgrade is now complete and device is ready for use. Additional ROM can also be installed after this for an enhanced performance of the phone. It is available on Google Play store and can be easily downloaded from there.

iOcean also released a short video which compares the difference between the device running on Kit Kat 4.4 Android version and Android Lollipop 5.0, according to The Analog Index.  

The Android 5.0 Lollipop update has also been released for other smartphones such as Sony Xperia Z2, Xperia Z3, HTC One M7 and HTC One M8. People who have bought the HTC One M8 phone directly from Google Store have the added advantage of being directly entitled to the Android 5.1 Lollipop update, instead of the previous version.

This Chinese company is not the only smartphone maker which is currently showing off Lollipop updates. Smart phone makers like Doogee, Ulefone, and Elephone also released the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for the devices under their hood; however, much to the disappointment of the other users, the upgrade is still awaited in UMi and JiaYu.
