Gamezone reported that "Destiny's" next expansion pack will be a marketing collaboration with Red Bull in order to promote the game. The packaging also contained a message that reads, "For Bonus XP Now & Epic Quest in Destiny The Taken King" adding more proof to the claim.
The website adds that there is also a photo of professional gamer Michael Chaves a.k.a. Flamesword in the packages as he is being sponsored by Red Bull, and he is well known in playing "Halo 3."
A previous report from Gamezone revealed that both Activision and Bungie are planning a new expansion for "Destiny," and they are planning to announce "The Taken King" at the 2015 Electronic Entertainment Expo next week.
In other news, the new "Destiny" patch update for "House of Wolves" expantion is now available today.
Game Informer reported that the new patch 1.2.0.2 is now available for download for gamers in their PS4 and Xbox One consoles as several players complained about a number of system issues such as Weekly Heroic Strikes not awarding engrams, Trial of Emblems not being sent into their inventories and more.
The new patch update was able to fix these problems, and basically focuses more on the player's item drop rates during missions. Players can have a better chance of getting loot from the Prison of Elders arena mode, higher key drop rates from Ether Chest and a treasure key for winning the Wanted Fallen Bounty each week, IGN reported.
Bungie also managed to tweak the contents of the Ether Chest in the new patch as these chest may contain loot once per spawn and will no longer have ammo consumables. Ammo consumables in the new patch can now increase up to 100.
