'Final Fantasy XV' News: 'Episode Duscae' Version 2.0 To Launch Next Week; Square Enix To Not Showcase "FFXV" On E3 2015!

New updates for Square Enix' upcoming Final Fantasy title - "Final Fantasy XV" - have been revealed, regarding the release date of the demo's version 2 and its status at the 2015 Electronic Entertainment Expo.

According to GearNuke, Square Enix confirmed the launch date of the new "Final Fantasy XV: Episode Duscae" update on June 9, 2015. The website adds that version 2.0 of "Episode Duscae" will have some major changes in the gameplay such as new team attacks, new enemies, new camp site and improved lock-on camera.

"FFXV: Episode Duscae" version 2 was oiriginally intended to be released on May, but Square Enix decided to delay the new update to further work on the needed improvements for the demo.

The game's director Hajime Tabata stated that his team were able to hit most of their milestones in time for "Episode Duscae" version 2 patch and manage to all the needed updates within the demo during the "Final Fantasy XV Active Time Report."


Square Enix managed to fixed the many problems present during the "FFXV" demo such as camera, frame rate and resolutions, Gamespot reported.

Tabata pointed out that one of the game's female character, Stella will not be included in "Final Fantasy XV."

They also removed the famous party seen in game were in Noctis gets attacked by an invading army, although Square Enix say that the attacks will still be there, just in a different sequence.

Lastly, the mysterios female Dragoon character still remains as part of the game.

It was previously reported that the launch date for "Final Fantasy XV" is rumored to be set on May 2016 for the PlayStation 4  and Xbox One, along with a possible E3 2015 appearance. However, IDigital Times reported that Square Enix will not be showcasing "Final Fantasy XV" in E3 2015 next week as Akio Ofuj, Studio marketing manager, said that the team decided to not show "FFXV" after many internal discussions. Tabata also apologized for the gaming fans for not showing "FFXV" at E3 2015.

Dualshockers also reported that Square Enix will likely put the new DirectX 12 to their latest and future games, and "Final Fantasy XV" is one of them. Square Enix is currently working on "FFXV's" development using the current DirectX 11.
