The current dimension of the Apple iPad Air and iPad is 9.7-inches; however, speculations have hinted a 12-inch iPad is in the works, which will be a 2-in-1 change for all tablets.

If this is true, according to the reports of Cite World, it would be keeping with an increasing market trend though Apple wouldn't want to comment on this rumor while this hasn't stopped the public from speculating.

It is reported that the iPad already works with different Bluetooth keyboards such Apple's very own and those from other brands. Also, there are rumors tha there will also be different covers that can prop up the tablet. Another speculation is that Apple will debut an iPad with a larger screen in the 4th quarter of this year and they will give an external Apple Keyboard, similar to that of Surface by Microsoft.

During an interview with Citeworld, John Philippe Bouchard said that the logical trend consumers are seeing right now is about the 2-in-1 feature of it, wherein the tablet will come with its own keyboard. It is said that as the tablet grows in size, it needs a keyboard for it to become productive.

Computerworld, on the other hand, reported that Apple have already created an internal prototype of a bigger tablet that would require a stand for it to sit on or even a keyboard. According to reports, this is going to be a crossbreed of an iPad and a MacBook.

Bouchard explained that Apple might give its own keyboard for the speculated bigger iPad, to sell inside the box with the iPad or just an option. Apple might announce its details during the WWDC event in San Franciso, along with the latest news about the iOS that lets multiple apps to run simultaneously.

However, there are other speculations that Apple may not use the 2-in-1 label because Intel has initially driven the 2-in-1 idea with some TV ads, showing Jim Parson promoting the gadgets as having "the power of the PC and fun of a tablet."

On other Apple News, WWDC 2015 might be postponed at a later date, instead of June 8, due to unfinished negotiations between Apple and music labels for streaming rights.
