AT&T officially announced the launch of Samsung Galaxy S6 Active this week. It is a well-known fact that AT&T is the exclusive provider of the smartphone's active family.

Samsung Galaxy S6 Active will be the amalgamation of all the premium features which were present in the Galaxy S6, as per The Tech Times. AT&T claims that the killer combination of this device cannot be found with any other carrier.

The upcoming smartphone will sport a 5.1-inch display with a Quad HD super AMOLED screen and a 577 ppi pixel resolution, as per The Android Authority. It is also equipped with Samsung Exynos 7420 which is coupled with an Octa core 64-bit processor. Available with a 32 GB internal storage facility, this phone will sport a 5 mega pixel front snapper and a 16 mega pixel real facing back cameras. In addition to this, it will also feature a battery capacity of 3500 mAh and a built in facility for wireless charging.

The operating system in this phone will be Android Lollipop 5.0.2. It has a good battery power for seamless functioning of the numerous apps in the smartphone with incessant business calls. Samsung Galaxy S6 Active, which is being marketed as a smart phone for the business traveler and the professionals, is tagged as "built for adventure" because it is extremely durable and is designed to withstand 10 drops due to its protective casing.

It has an IP68 rating for water and shock resistance, as well as dust resistance. It can easily withstand outdoor conditions and can be submerged in water till a depth of 1.5 meters for about 30 minutes. It is built for the rugged users who may also be travelers and need sturdy smart phones.

Samsung Galaxy S6 Active, which is set to hit themarket in June 12, 2015, will be available in gray, camo white, and camo blue colors and also a camouflage design. There is also an "activity zone" button in the phone's side part, which features flashlight, compass, stopwatch, and many more functions.
