New updates for Capcom's upcoming Street Fighter sequel "Street Fighter 5" have been revealed regarding its appearance, tournament gameplay, launch date and characters.
According to reports from GearNuke, Capcom has announced their line-up of video game titles that will be showcased at the 2015 Electronic Entertainment Expo on June 16-18 that includes "Street Fighter 5," "Mega Man Legacy Collection," "Resident Evil 0 HD Remaster" and "Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition."

Aside from the game announcement, IDigital Times reported that Capcom will be hosting a tournament-based game demo for "Street Fighter 5" at E3 2015, similar to Nintendo's plan of having a "Super Smash Bros." tournament. The website commented that although it will not be as big as what Nintendon did from the previous E3 event, many gamers will line-up the Capcom booth in order to test out "Street Fighter 5's" gameplay system.
IGN reported that this will be the first major appearance for "Street Fighter 5" because aside from the tournament gameplay, there will be interactive photo opportunities and a possible new trailer and official launch date for the game.
It was previously reported that the release date for "Street Fighter 5" was tentatively set on March 31, 2016 for the PlayStation 4 consoles and PC, while rumor has it that the game will launch on May 2016.
There are also a leaked character roster for "Street Fighter 5" which includes returing characters Ryu, Chun-Li, Nash, Bison, Hugo, Poison, Alex, Dudlely, C.Viper, Elena and Urien. There are also new faces joining the next instalment - Kuan and Sherry - while Akuma will be a DLC character for the first time in the game's Day 1 edition. What is interesting about the character roster within the game is the absence of Ryu's bestfriend/rival Ken Masters in fifth instalment.
According to the Christian Post, Ken Masters is rumored not to be included in "Street Fighter 5's" roster as the website wrote that Ken's absence will filled in by the new fighters Kuan and Sherry as compensation. Capcom has not made any statements regarding Ken's inclusion in "Street Figther 5," though.
There are also rumors of a beta gauge for "Street Fighter 5" that includes four playable stages, in which, players can choose six characters (Ryu, Chun-Li, Alex, Nash, M.Bison and Sherry).
Gaming fans will be expecting "Street Fighter 5's" appearance along with new game details at E3 2015 next week.
