China's warship cruiser Type 055, based on satellite data, is nearing its completion and is set to be launched in Wuhan's test rig.
In some of its recently released photos, the Type 055 cruiser possesses not only sophistication, but state of the art auxiliaries that will definitely meet its purpose. According to SpaceWar, the warship cruiser is a mockup ship that aims to test its capability to perform with such high powered electronic interface, radar communications and other simulated performance, based on its actual appearance. Modifications and other glitches will be easily detected and changed during the mockup observation.

Designers of the Type 055 cruiser projected a specification of "length: 160 - 180 meters long, Width: 21 - 23 meters, Displacement: 12,000 - 14,000 tons." The cruisers main purpose in the Chinese' military unit is to provide a common ground for their military's air fleet, as well as, support in instigating land and water attacks.
The builder of this warship cruiser is Changxingdao - Jiangnan Shipyard and is operated by People's Liberation Army Navy Surface Force. If the Chinese government's department of technology is positive about what they do, some believe the warship cruiser will be the first of its kind to carry laser weapons.
According to Yin Zhou, an ethnic Hand Rear Admiral in the Navy of the People's Republic of China, the creation of Type 055 is a new innovation that will change the way naval bases are erected. He also compared the warship to that of "Arleigh Burke - class destroyer" that is currently available and being used by the United States and Japan. In comparison, with the Type 055 weighing 12,000 to 14,000 tons, it is possible that it can outlast that from the United States' "Zumwalt - class destroyer" which weighs 12,000 tons and Japan's "Atago - class destroyer" that weighs just over 9,000 tons.
Once the project is successfully launched, plans to build a second unit will be passed on to the Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Company.
It was during the Cultural revolution that the idea of building this type of warship cruiser came to life, and after a series of reviews and failed attempts to build one, it was only in 2010 that the mockup materialized.
