In a bid to attract more drivers for its grand plan of executing a million rides globally, Uber cabs offer will now include a videogame that will tell people what it feels like to be an Uber cab driver. After a series of advertisements and other promotional strategies, this is a relatively new method adopted by the brand.

According to Wired, the on-demand cabs company that was recently in news for its ambitious growth plans has now introduced a new videogame dedicating to attracting more drivers to join the organization. Uber's global growth plan is hard to achieve unless the company is supported by a million strong driver work force to execute the cab rides. Through the video game initiative, the company will give people the experience of being an Uber driver and therefore hopes to add more numbers to its work-force. However, this is not the only strategy that Uber has used to attract drivers. In the past, the company has used interactive advertisements, word of mouth publicity techniques and even published a quarterly magazine, just to lure the drivers.
The concept of this video game is pretty simple. Players have to take passengers from point A to point B, just like an Uber driver would do. But, there is a twist. Players will earn their points on the basis of the route that they choose. This means a player opting for an efficient route will get more points than his opponent who has chosen a longer route.
What's more is that if the players manage to earn points consecutively, they can actually cross new levels. As the game progresses, they can explore new areas of the city and, of course, upgrade their vehicles.
To add a little entertainment quotient, the video game also includes trivia mode where riders will be quizzing the driver about important landmarks in the city. As of now the game is available on iOS only.
Meanwhile another report on Tech Crunch confirms that Uber's plan of expansion are ambitious as the company is raising one billion dollars to pursue it and become the largest market globally.
