(Photo : Reuters) Android Lollipop 5.1 update is now available for the 2013 model of Moto X.
The rollout for Android Lollipop 5.1.1 update is already released for Nexus Player, which makes it obvious that the update will soon reach all the Nexus devices like Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Nexus 7, and Nexus 10.
The estimated time of arrival for these devices varies according to the model of the devices, according to VC Post. This is primarily a maintenance update and its main goal is to fix bugs and crashes plus to improve the stability of the system, according to The Android Geeks.

The other improvement which were brought about with this latest update are the fix for camera timeout and a fix for a recent remote pass through feature on the Chromecast, according to Latin Post.
However, even though many users are already using this latest version of Android operating system, few of them are still complaining about memory leaks, camera crashes and also various other bugs. Some Nexus 7 users are also saying that this upgrade is bricking their tablets, which is pushing Google all the more to hurry up and release of Android 5.2.
The most recent Nexus device, which received this update was Nexus 6 and it is currently available for carriers like AT&T, US Cellular, T-Mobile, and Sprint. Since it is released to users over-the-air, it can also be downloaded from the Google repositories in case the wait gets too long. Usually a pop up message on the smartphone notify the users of a firmware update, and can be installed easily through that method.
It can also be checked manually, by going to the Settings option on their devices. From there, users need to go to "About device" and then check for the option of "System updates." Once they reach this step then the users ought to click on the option of "Check for update." The device will then check if the particular Android lollipop 5.1.1 update is available or not for that particular device. In case it is available, then users will get the prompt to install it.
The phone should run on an official Android build to get this update.
