Nexus 5 2015 is again in the news as its release date is getting closer and closer. Rumors are rife that it will come with a price tag of $500 (approximately INR 32,000), which is much cheaper than the current flagship phone, Nexus 6.

The 2nd generation Google Nexus 5 is most likely to hit the stores in either October or November this year, as per The International Business Times. Coincidentally, this will be the same time when Nexus 6 will be marking its first year anniversary in the market. Nexus 6 was more less an overpriced device, which will reportedly lure the customers into buying the much cheaper upcoming device from the search engine giant.

With fewer features and a simple design, Google is reportedly keeping the price low for its second generation Google Nexus 5, according to  Donklephant.

The upcoming device is expected to come equipped with Android Pay and will be powered by a Snapdragon processor. It is also going to have two year guarantee for updating the Android Operating System. It will also have a finger-print sensor and will boast an enhanced battery life.

Nexus 6 came out with a 6-inch display at a pretty steep price rise of $649 last year, while the first generation Nexus 5 was launched at just $400. This made the demand for Nexus 6 an all time low in the history of Google smartphone devices. Google is yet to comment on the official price of the second generation Nexus 5, as per Tech Gadget Central.

Google is reportedly launching two variants of this device; one will be a successor of LG Nexus 5 and the other will be the successor of Nexus 6. For the first variant, Google is teaming up with LG (code named LG Bullhead), and for the second one is teaming up with Huawei (code named Huawei Angler) as the official hardware partner.

The second generation Nexus 5 device is expected to be equipped with a 5.2-inch display and a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with a 2,700 mAh battery capacity.
