VG 24/7 reported that EA Games has showcased the first official gamplay trailer "Mirror's Edge Catalyst" today at the 2015 Electronic Entertainment Expo in the Los Angeles Convention Center.

As seen in the video, "Mirror's Edge Catalysts" will serve as a prequel to the first game and explores the origins of the game's protagonist Faith, from here time as a prisoner to the corporate dominated City of Glass to the parkour underground freedom fighter that she is today.
Engadget further adds that Faith's objective in "Mirror's Edge Catalyst" is pretty simple explore the whole urban landscape of the city and fight the oppressive government ruled by Gabriel Kruger.
PC advisor reported that "Mirror's Edge Catalsyt" is now an open-world game as they will run and explor different places. Unlike the original "Mirror's Edge," there will be no levels or loading screens in the "Catalyst" and there will lots of missions, puzzles, races and time trials within the game.
The free-running and parkour moves within the game are now more fluid and dynamic as Faith will have a new "Dash" mode ability and "Mirror's Edge Catalsyst" will be launch on February 23, 2016 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
VG 24/7 further adds that players will recieve a Combat Runner kit or a Free Runner kit when they decide to pre-order "Mirror's Edge Catalyst".
Mirror's Edge producer Sarah Jansson has revealed his thoughts about "Mirror's Edge Catalsyt" development and the fan's expectation to the game during an interview with Siliconera.
Jansson mentioned that she and DICE have learned alot from the gaming fans since the first game's release and the team has been busy re-evaluating the several aspects from "Mirror's Edge" to make the new game better.
She also says that expectations from the fans is really high ever since they are working on another "Mirror's Edge" game as they will try to provide something new and different at the same time keep the original theme of the game.
Gaming fans are expecting more details for "Mirror's Edge Catalsyt" anytime soon as the game will be available on Feb. 23, 2016 for the PS4, Xbox One and PC.
