Linked Pulse has been relaunched as a personalized business digest that will now help users stay updated with the latest information in the professional world around them. Pulse is a news app that was launched by the business networking giant, LinkedIn.
According to a report on Venture Beat, LinkedIn has relaunched this app with a new design and the refreshed version will now serve as a personalized news digest for users who want to update themselves with the latest happenings in the professional sector. The relaunched version of the app is available on the Apple operating system as well as the Android devices. The core purpose of relaunching the app is to give it a more personalized touch that will help in making the users feel more connected to the information being shared on the platform.

Pulse became a part of LinkedIn after the latter successfully acquired it in a whooping ninety million dollar deal. Prior to the acquisition, Pulse was a simple news aggregator app that gathered news from different corners and presented it to the user. In fact, most users were relying on Pulse without even actually knowing it because a lot of the information on LinkedIn's home page came from this news feed.
The refreshed version of the app is being treated like a new entity while the makers have also pulled out the old version from the app store and play store lists. However, those who have already installed the old version will be able to use it comfortably, though only till the end of the year.
As opposed to the previous display cluttered with all news, the refreshed version of Pulse will now display news that is relevant to the users, based on the information like job title, industry, etc., that is already available on the LinkedIn account. The app will also gauge the interest of the user and accordingly display the news, as it is confirmed by Mashable.
The new app also utilizes LinkedIn's Newsle acquisition to its advantage by automatically displaying stories where people in the users connection have been mentioned. Users can also deactivate these settings and opt-out of this facility, depending on their preference.
