Apple TV apps development could be on fast track after the technology giant has increased the number of devices that developers will be able to register in their account, with 100 pieces per slot. The move came after Apple consolidated its developers programs under one roof.
According to a report on Tech Crunch, Apple has increased the number of devices that the developers will be able to register in their accounts. Previously, this number was restricted to hundred; however, with the latest update, the number has gone up to five hundred with hundred pieces for each slot. This development also includes 100 pieces for Apple TV apps in addition to iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and Apple Watch.

This news came as a surprise as Apple TV is still to get its dedicated app store. Given this situation, gadget lovers have already started speculating that Apple could be introducing apps for the TV, sometime in the near future. In fact, there were also plans to include an app store for Apple TV. A rumor also claims that Apple is already in process of upgrading the Xcode to add more developer tools. This will make it slightly easier for app developers to work on options for Apple TV, said reports.
Buzz Feed News pointed out that Apple had plans to introduce a revamped version of the Apple TV that will give the developers a chance to work on its apps. The new device is expected to make its debut at the World Wide Developers Conference, scheduled in June this year. Apart from the app store, the new model will also include several impressive features, including a better storage capacity, powerful processor, etc. There is no clarity on the price increase of the product - just yet.
Even now, the TV has supported apps but lacks a dedicated app store. It is being assumed that 100 slots is a huge number for beta testing and therefore Apple could be planning to introduce Apple TV apps in the near future. However, the increase in device limits is no guaranteed proof of the Apple TV apps development as it is said that this is just a mere hint.
