The sci-fi flick is set in the not-so-far future that's 2029. Connor is still the leader of the human resistance against Skynet. For fear that a dark future is on the cards for the resistance, Connor devises a plan that involves fighting their adversaries both in the past and in the future, reports Outer Places.

Part of Connor's plan is sending Kyle Reese. played by Jai Courtney, to the past in hopes of saving his mother, Sarah, who is played by Emilia Clarke. However, things will take a peculiar turn when they discover an alternate timeline, where Sarah is an experienced fighter, who has a Terminator guardian, played by Schwarzenegger. To top it all of, new allies will emerge along the way, and the main purpose of the time travel will be altered to reseting the future.

2. "Self/less" (Release Date - July 10)

What happens when one man has all the riches in the world but only has a couple more days to live? "Selfless" answers this question by showing how Billionaire industrialist Damian Hale, played by Ben Kingsley, decides to transfer his consciousness to a much younger and healthier body for fear of succumbing to a terminal disease, according to Den of Geek.

When he wakes up in the body of a young man, played by Ryan Reynolds, Hale, who is henceforth called Edward, starts to see the world differently. Things start to become shaky when the unpleasant memories of the young man haunts Hale. Apparently, Edward has a mysterious past that Damian must uncover, but what he is about to find out will lead to action sequences that will surely excite moviegoers to the bare bone.

Aside from Kingsley and Reynolds, other "Self/less" cast include: Matthew William Goode, Natalie Martinez, Victor Garber, Derek Luke, Michelle Dockery, Sandra Ellis Lafferty and Teri Wyble, among others.

3. "Fantastic Four" (Release Date - August 7)

Another reboot is about to make Marvel fans go crazy. This comic book-turned-movie is about to get another shot at raking in millions at the box office. Leading this reboot are familiar and fresh faces in Hollywood. Miles Teller is leading the foursome group as Mister Fantastic, Kate Mara will take on Jessica Alba's Susan Storm, Jamie Bell is playing the Thing while Michael B. Jordan is giving his own take of The Human Torch.

Unlike some of its superhero-themed contemporaries, Joshua Trank's "Fantastic Four" reboot is said to be a "hard sci-fi" flick. Trank himself recognized this when he said, "I would say that the science fiction of it is a big thing that sets it apart from most of the other superhero genre films," as per Newsarama.com.

Trank even added, "I'm a huge David Cronenberg fan, and I always viewed Fantastic Four and the kind of weirdness that happens to these characters and how they're transformed to really fall in line more with a Cronenberg-ian science fiction tale of something horrible happening to your body and [it] transforming out of control. And the potential for a hard sci-fi take on that material makes me really excited."

"Fantastic Four" will focus more on the timeline when the four protagonists accidentally went on a trip to an alternate universe, where they will acquire their superpowers. Toby Kebbell, Stan Lee, Tim Blake Nelson and Reg. E. Cathey also star in this film.
